Urban Districts Comprised of the Old City core, the Xicheng and Dongcheng districts, as well as the surrounding Chaoyang, Haidian, Fengtai, and Shijingshan districts, this segment contains the majority of the population. The gridded, levelled heart of the city is also the location of near all its governmental and educational authority, with the likes of embassies, businesses, and the (traditional) Olympic green scattered throughout, and the architectural blend of the historic and postmodern is here in full force. Development here seems never-ending, no matter how packed it may be. Rebels are numerous, but the vast majority strive to be highly covert, as there as more active Superstars here than just about anywhere in the country. |

Inner Suburbs Development beyond the inner city spills out in droves here as well, with the general area consisting of the likes of Changping, Daxing, Tongzhou, and several other districts. Though these are a slight degree removed from the core’s continual busy rush, they are still no stranger to large scale and high-tech industry, and function much like a second, less dense heart. Some agriculture is present, however, and the park-filled and greenery-bedecked areas here might prove most easy on the eye to a tourist. Rebel activity is highest here, as Superstar presence is slightly less dense compared to the urban districts, but still with many to witness their acts. |

Outer Suburbs This group is made up of the remaining districts that are further from the inner city, those being Miyun, Pinggu, Huairou, and Yanqing. Though comparatively more rural when stacked next to the other broad dividers of the city, this group in particular has the strongest show for tourism, with a rich history, segments of the Great Wall and similar sights, and a more laid back populace serving to make them the romantic’s likely choice. Things are calmest here, but the odd rebel does indeed still appear, much akin to a villain of the week. |
