The Superstars Overview: Differing from meta-human policies across the globe, China has no centralized organization in regards to their peacekeepers and crime fighters. Instead, their method of combating crime is a multitude of competing companies all with the goal of garnering a sponsor capable of catching the public’s attention. While they are very involved with the legal system, after apprehension, jurisdiction over arrested criminals passes onto local law enforcement.
Unlike other crime fighters worldwide, however, the Superstars of China are not seen as civil servants. In fact, to the public, China's heroes are praised and heralded as celebrities. This includes product placement, sponsorships, and businesses clamoring over the most photogenic and most heroic heroes that China can offer, all in an attempt to give the people of China something to focus on.
Superstars can be anything from genuine heroes who will stop at nothing to preserve the safety and security of China, to up-and-coming millionaires who only care about their reputation, or those of whom who aspire to keep the Chinese population under their boot.
These are the Superstars.
