Name: Chisana
Alias (if any): Magnemesis
Gender: Female
Age:12
Affiliation: Rebel
Physical Appearance: Standing at an incredible 4’9” Chisana is a spindly kid who’d be lucky to weigh a hundred pounds soaking wet. In spite of her small stature she will still carry herself as if she were a bigger deal than anyone around her, that is of course when she has had enough sleep. Her hair is a mess of auburn uneven cuts that vary in length as she likes to try and “style” it herself. Usually she’ll just tie her bangs back and let the locks flow.
As for her fashion it’s easy to tell this girl dresses herself as it’s usually a simple combination of a sundress and shorts completed with a set of cheap sneakers. Though she is a fan of trying new styles and will sometimes try and copy her friends looks.
When it comes down to business she will don a sleek matte black jumpsuit with a hood as well as a smooth black mask with purple neon circles for eyes and a built in voice modulator.
Magnemesis itself is a 8’ tall massive figure of scrap iron, steel, and appliances. A single glowing green eye rests in the center of its rectangular face. The form itself will vary in its arrangement and composition from car parts, to iron girders, to air conditioners. The general size and shape stay pretty uniform with a wide hulking form. The voice of Magnemesis is deep and even like a Madman’s lullaby.
Personality: Chisana is a child whose appearance betrays her inner workings. This doesn’t mean that she isn’t like any other girl her age. It does mean though that her true intelligence is often overlooked. The most effective tool in her arsenal is this very fact as Chisana is not above crocodile tears and “acting her age” to hide a much more mentally intimidating presence.
For the most part Chisana is rather childish as her upbringing would blur the line for her education in morality. Thanks to this though she is a rather creative girl who could talk a stranger’s ear off for hours without losing an ounce of enthusiasm. It’s this endless font of confidence that can almost be confused with glee as is thrilled by the idea of superstars, rebels, and everything in between. This is her ultimate goal, the life of adventure and action and intrigue, so much so that she’s romanticized the fantasy of it all.
However, this energy of hers is not infinite nor is it ever-present. Pride is what drives her confidence and if not met with the desired response this can lead Chisana to become overly defensive, embarrassed, or even deflated. Metahuman or no she has a huge desire to be recognized for the work she does.
This is in part because of her lack of concrete parental figures as the ones she’s had have come and gone. This can leave her a bit evasive towards solid relationships despite an obvious desire. In conclusion, she is a lonely girl who is afraid of letting people in close and terrified of letting people go.
This however is where the innocence ends. When donning the moniker and guise of Magnemesis the girl of hopes and dreams will melt away to reveal a force of pure ambition. Magnemesis is a cold and calculating reflection of what Chisana shows. The world turns to an obstacle to be conquered as Chisana shows her true talents of manipulation and intimidation through a twisted charismatic aura that only seems catalysed within the hulking form of Magnemesis.
This persona is not without its own faults as well. As much as Chisana tries to embrace this role she often finds herself without direction for her ambition. Because of this she will often turn to those close to her for advice. She knows what she wants, she has the power to make it possible, now she justs needs the road to travel down, to be, a legend.
History: Chisana’s past starts simple enough as the girl was born to rich parents in Yoyogi Japan. Normally she would’ve most likely been raised in luxury. Though fate had other intentions as the family became caught up in the nefarious activities of a villain while visiting a park.
The villain was a meta human by the name of Shimmer king, the leader of a gang of thieves calling themselves Radiance. Most of the group was apprehended that daym all except Shimmer King himself who managed to escape by taking a certain newborn girl hostage. After escaping would later demand a substantial ransom from the girl’s family for her safe return.
Plans would change however as Shimmer King’s prime had passed, he was getting old and sentimental. Maybe it was because of this that he quickly grew quite attached to the child, so much so that he would name her Chisana and claim her as his own, not before collecting a hefty ransom however.
Using his accumulated wealth Shimmer King would flee to Shanghai China with Chisana in tow. For the most part life would be normal for Chisana under the care of the former villain. She would be enrolled in school, make friends, and be tucked in at night, just with the added experience of being regaled with the stories of infamy and crime. Enraptured by these tales Chisana’s head would be filled with her own dreams of battling heroes and becoming remembered as a great villain.
These aspirations would be fueled tenfold upon the discovery of her own powers. She would pester the former Shimmer King day and night to show her how to become a legend like him. At first the villain would refuse, not only because he knew it would be dangerous but that his own time would soon come to an end. As time passed though the fate of her future weighed heavily on him in his final years, and so he would teach Chisana as much as he could as a parting gift before passing away.
Now alone and full of ambition Chisana seeks to use the superstar industry in Hong Kong to catapult her reputation as the new force of evil, Magnemesis
Power: Magnesis- Chisana possesses a unique form of magnetic control in which she is able to use her power to actively magnetize metal around her. Depending on how long she uses her power on said metal she is able to control it for however long her “Magnetic Charge” lasts. The most common usage of her ability is to form her alter ego “Magnemesis”, a huge metal golem that she encases herself in.
Magnemesis being a thousand pounds of scrap iron and steel allows for the hits from this form to pack quite a punch as sheer momentum will carry the metal fists of this form carry them to devastating effect. When not using this form Chisana can alternatively utilize small metal objects that she carries around as projectiles.
As a side effect of the powerful magnetic fields that surround Chisana she and her Magnemesis form will often be distorted unless done from a distance.
Drawback: The first and most prevalent of this ability is that Chisana is only able to control metal that she has taken the time to apply her “Magnetic Charge” to and this charge only last for as much time as she took to charge it. This means that metal that she wishes to use must have been prepared beforehand thus preventing her from using her power to call forth just any metal around.
Example: If she wanted to control a metal plate for an hour she would’ve had to taken an hour of using her power to charge it for an hour beforehand.
Secondly this power has a limited range. Chisana can only manipulate metal that she has magnetized within a fifteen foot radius of her. Not only does this limit the range of her attacks but also the size at which she is able to make Magnemesis.
The process of magnetizing objects provides a challenge in itself to Chisana as the process can be quite taxing when done for long periods of time. The consequences of trying to charge anything for too long usually result in grogginess and a spike in appetite. These consequences are not just limited to her however, as the magnetic charge increases so to does it’s effectiveness at harming nearby electronic devices.
Strengths/Weaknesses:
+Magnemesis being held together through magnetic fields it’s movements remain rather fluid despite its size.
+Being made of metal Magnemesis is naturally damage resistant
+Thanks to her disguise her true identity is a very secure
-Being magnet based Magnemesis is weak to extreme heat as it will drain the magnetic charge of her scrap.
-Negligible physical strength for a metahuman
-Is a child
Likes/Dislikes:
+Figurines
+superstars
+The godfather
+building forts
-anyone over 5’10”
-Tetanus shots
-Sour candy
-English muffins
