Name: Mìmì Shū Xīng – (‘秘密书星’)
Alias: Mìmì – (‘秘密’) or Hóngxīng – (‘红星’) – Redstar
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Affiliation: Superstar
Physical Appearance: Being a descendant of a Han Chinese woman and a western American man, Mìmì has gained the benefit and deficiencies of both races. Specifically, she has the skin of the ethnic Hans Chinese, while having a singular pair of eyelids and auburn hair, blue eyes inherited from her father. Her body meanwhile is somewhat fit and slim, not exactly well endowed, and is a little shorter than normal, being at 5ft in American measurements. She has tattooed her left shoulder with a black star, with a triangle spaced below it. Regarding the styling of her hair, it’s normally left free of a ponytail; however, she does occasionally pull it back with a ponytail holder connected to a small star silver charm.
Provided with a picture, Mìmì’s heroic outfit is based heavily on the Chinese flag and her last name, sporting layers and coverage to keep her both warm, and protected from attacks. The material itself is a durable cotton that’s been dyed various shades of red while both crimson and gold lining made from silk ride along the edges, and sometimes sparkles in the sunlight if it hasn’t been tattered or dirtied, which is unlikely due to the fact it’s not exactly a standard material for protection used by heroes as far as she knows.
Some of the outfit represents some traditional Chinese fashion while the rest is mixed with western ideas of high-boots and shorts with red leggings beneath it. Her elbow-length gloves do sport a more traditional Chinese look as well. Meanwhile, the stars scattered across her outfit, mostly being sown in poorly and occasionally being ripped off rather easily, flying off like shooting stars. Each star is gold, and while her name would suggest otherwise, she likes the combo better.
Meanwhile, her civilian outfit, consisting of a black shoulder-less leotard with black jeans or dress-pants, doesn’t sport any sown in stars and is quite plain and simple, paired with high boots that are either tucked in or lazily left out to be seen to the world. However, inside her boots she sports socks absolutely splattered with white stars against a black background, her secret. Her accessories include a large black firm sunhat, black casual rectangular glasses she usually needs to see with, and a small black cylinder purse with a white star on the side.
Weapon wise, regardless of whatever outfit she’s in, she owns a long spear with (‘星星的秘密书’) engraved into it in a shiny-gold, the base of the weapon red while the double-sided blade at the end sports a gray stainless steel, the other end sporting a pommel shaped like a star, a hole in the middle for a large piece of transparent red fabric tied to it, one gold star on each side.
Personality
Described as a fiery young girl, Mimi is easily excitable and impressed in both conversation and occasionally battle, things like large events, artistic completions, secrets, and surprises unveiled catching her attention. She is hard to calm down when absolutely excited about something, and since she thinks more with her actions then her head, she can be seen as impulsive or even insensible to others as she blurts out whatever is on her mind. It’s admittedly hard to take her seriously when this happens since most of the things she says don’t conclude or are half-thought-out jokes on her part. In total, it’s unknown if her excitable personality is optimistic, or just plain reckless.
Besides her often-excitable attitude, she is more notably stubborn and naïve, especially in the superstar field. She’s constantly fighting against authority when it comes to what she’s supposed to do, taking a special type of person or someone she respects to eventually talk her into following orders or doing something else instead of what she was planning to do. She just wants to do it her way honestly, and whether that’s the hard way is no concern to her, it’s her way, until someone drills it into her head otherwise. Her stubbornness may be a result of her ego as well, believing she’s immortal thanks to her ability and hasn’t exactly been proven otherwise to step off her high horse. She fights recklessly thanks to her belief, constantly underestimating her opponents and getting herself into dangerous situations, and it’s unknown when she’ll finally learn that she is in fact, only human.
While she is reckless, Impulsive, stubborn, and admittedly too excited for her own good, Mìmì does have the capability to take things seriously when the situation absolutely requires it, and when this happens she’ll often become politer, and more notably concerned and worried for others.
Lastly, as mentioned before, Mimi is described as a fiery young girl, meaning she can act childish and emotional in times of stress or being proved wrong through a critical and vicious argument. Furthermore, rip her of her ego, or wreck her spirit with an overwhelming disappointment, and she will become emotional either with aggressive fury as she walks away or becomes physical, or in tears as she is overwhelmed, sometimes crumbling in failure. At such a point, her emotions will switch from an excitable personality to one where she is somewhat fragile and unsure of herself for a while, frightened of doing things without instruction, and is a weakness on the battlefield without her fire that normally burns ferociously.
History
Mìmì Shū – (‘秘密书’) was born to her unmarried mother Qiū Xīng – (‘秋星’) on September 6th, 2013. Mìmì’s father, imprisoned and absent for what would be a majority of Mìmì’s life, was a carrier of artificially given meta-ability of Hydrokinesis, something that while it didn’t transfer over to Mìmì as an exact copy, it still provided Mìmì with an ability. Her mother, on the other hand, was purely human, living on Hong Kong island with the role of a janitor for the campus there. With a limited, small paycheck, she lived with Mìmì in an extremely small apartment nearby her work for an expensive fee, which took up most of her paycheck. They were nearly considered being in poverty if it weren’t for her mother’s determination to have a better life. Yet, as Mìmì began to develop abilities her mother found herself dismayed at the fact Mìmì was a Metahuman, quickly trying to find some way to keep her as a normal, simple child. Her goal was achieved when she visited a hospital to find a way to halt her daughter’s abilities in her tracks, convincing the doctors her ability would be life-threatening, and in turn the doctors supplying a suppressant that would effectively halt the progress of Mìmì’s powers surfacing, and so Mìmì would be a normal child, albeit with the symptom of occasionally being sicker than usual.
After that, Mìmì lived like any child in a small apartment, restless and almost bouncing off the walls, and at least half of that when she was sick. Though despite Mìmì’s energetic, extremely stubborn behavior, Qiū went out of her way to have patience with Mìmì and to make sure that she received the right education and exercise and even tried her best to nurture Mìmì’s skill in the arts. It was her eventual hope to escape Hong Kong to somewhere more spacious and safe instead of the apartment, though opportunities were rare and even when the civil war broke out in 2018, and she came face to face again with Mìmì’s father Bō hǎicháo -- (‘波海潮’), she refused to risk the offer of living on the run for the rest of their lives. Simultaneously, before they would split ways after her refusal, Qiū allowed Bō to meet his only daughter, which although he didn’t know Mìmì had inherited Meta-genes, he still loved what she was becoming, before he disappeared, possibly never to be seen again.
Reaching the age of 6 after the war, still taking suppressants for what her mother called a chronic disease instead of its true nature, she attended her first year in school, overwhelmed with the large amount of homework, but managing to get it done with time and effort put into it. She barely had time to make friends, though she eventually did, and while she wasn’t exactly the most popular kid in school, she was one of the nicer, easily excited ones. Meanwhile, after school, if she managed to get her homework done, she and her mom would go out and visit the beach nearby or visit the Stanley – (‘赤柱’) Market, an old-school street market for Street Vendors. They could never buy anything, but the two enjoyed walking around, Mìmì’s mother telling her how if she worked hard enough, she could afford to get anything she or Mìmì wanted here, and maybe she could even open her own shop if she wanted, which at the time, Mìmì had been fully supportive of the idea. This pastime activity has and will be Mìmì’s favorite for a long time as she enjoyed days like these, and although afterschool programs did get Mìmì’s interest, she preferred to stay with her mother.
However, the stability in school and home wouldn’t last when the school-years got harder and more taxing when she became 13, Mìmì discovering the more brutal side of her fellow species. Specifically, an older schoolgirl who called themselves Xūkōng – (‘虚空’). This girl, in particular, had the ability to become invisible along with anything she touched, becoming a constant troublemaker and soon Mìmì’s tormenter, a bully who with any chance she had, caused Mìmì’s reputation with her friends to dwindle completely, leaving Mìmì at the mercy of Xūkōng’s wrath without support. Whether along the lines it was Xūkōng messing with her, or even physically assaulting her on a bad day, Mìmì tried to tell the teachers, but Xūkōng was quick to silence her. Eventually Mìmì tried to confront Xūkōng on her own about why she kept bullying her, and while an argument escalating to a fight insured, it managed to get Xūkōng talking to Mìmì about what was going wrong with the life that made her take it out on Mìmì, someone she despised for being happy all the time. Needless to say, the two enemies worked out their problems and became friends, although they did get a suspension for attacking one another in the first place.
With trying to take care of her new friend emotionally, and also trying to finish Junior school quickly, Mìmì found herself stretched thin, and it wouldn’t help when she found out that her mother, someone she trusted the most, had been lying to her about why she had to take pills that made her sick, finally realizing she herself wasn’t just a human, she was a human with abilities just like her dad and friend. Within seconds her trust in her mother that had been there from when she was born vanished, fully believing her mother was in the wrong and stopped taking the pills she had lived on for far too long. Although she was boiling with fury and overall felt betrayed, she managed to get through school despite it. She was still angry for many days after that, however, and with no actual sign of what her ability was, she became rebellious and reckless, cutting her hair to above her shoulders, and participating in activities that threatened her health. It was only during one of these activities that she finally found out what her ability was, a small cut healing within seconds. She thought she was immortal at that point, even if she truly wasn’t.
Her mother meanwhile was appalled with Mìmì’s sudden change and rash behavior, forcing her to leave if she wouldn’t comply to her rules, although Mìmì will claim she willingly left. Then in the aftermath, with the help of her friend, she moved in with Xūkōng and now lives with her as a roommate until her new hobby gets her off the ground, working also as partners for the activity Mìmì picked up, being a hero. Although she isn’t exactly known well, mostly dealing with petty thieves and small skirmishes before quickly moving on to the next fight. Within these fights, however, she’s slowly developed a grip over her power, learning it tricks and uses that extend to others, not just herself. However, despite her peaceful ability, she just wants to fight and enjoy ‘I’ll be whatever the hell I want to be’ to its full use.
Power—Healing/Restoration
Ranging in use for both her and others, Health Restoration involves the regeneration of minor to serious wounds over the course of seconds ranging to minutes, critical ones out of the equation that would normally be represented with loss of limbs, cancer, and on a less critical note, sicknesses in general. Regarding the internal affairs of the body, restoration of organs through this ability is possible unless they have been removed or damaged beyond repair. However, this does not apply to the brain, as any damaged received is permanent. Meanwhile, bone repair, burns, and scars are capable of being healed, but as with all the restorations, the pain caused from the wound remains for a while, or after the thread, however long the character subconsciously or consciously believes they’re still hurting.
If the limbs or organs have been detached but are recoverable, reattaching them is possible, but an extremely painful process for the patient. If the patient has died and its brain still recoverable, revival is possible through a kiss to the forehead or chest although not guaranteed resuscitation, however, if the patient has been dead for a long period of time to the point the brain has died itself, revival is not possible for the victim. It is also not possible to revive Mìmì through her own ability or for death to be avoided in critical cases, death being permanent for her.
Mìmì’s self-healing is able to be transferred to another character for a temporary amount of time (until all treatable wounds are healed) before becoming null, she herself unable to use her ability in the time it requires for the temporary transfer to end, including for her own wounds. Transfers are normally done through a kiss to the forehead, and other uses for characters besides revival require touch from the palmar sides of her hands, similar to tapping instead of holding her hand on the wound or otherwise. If she is interrupted while healing a character her ability will be unable to complete its restoration and will ultimately reverse the wound to its original state. On a side note, If Mìmì’s ability was transferred and she takes damage, she will be unable to heal at the advanced rate, even when her abilities return.
Drawbacks
As mentioned in the description, wounds still retain their painfulness for a while or after the thread, until the character stops believing they are in pain. She cannot revive herself, and people long dead cannot be revived either. She cannot replace organs, heal sickness, or repair critical wounds or organs that are beyond repair.
If her ability to self-heal has been transferred to another character, her ability to heal herself will become null until the other character has been healed of all treatable injuries, and wounds she earned while the ability is transferred will heal at the same rate as an average human does compared to her normal rate.
If her hands have been covered or damaged beyond repair, Mìmì’s ability to treat others through her hands will no longer exist while they are covered/unrepairable and will require the other method of healing that could easily get her killed in extreme circumstances.
If she tries to revive someone and it fails, her ability will be lost for a while, including self-heal.
The more she uses her ability in a thread, the blurrier her eyesight gets in that specific thread.
Strengths/Weaknesses

- Impulsive, constantly acting before thinking about her actions.
- Stubborn, doesn’t always follow what she’s supposed to do and can be unreliable at times.
