Mimi had struck the large man, her eyes wide as she saw the blood fly from his face, her blade cutting through flesh all too easily, bothering her at the simplicity... This, this was the life of a superhero, protecting those who cannot protect themselves from people like this, and sometimes it got gruesome, terrifying… But it was her job to ignore the part of her that screamed for Mimi to stop her attack, give him one more chance, maybe even try to compromise with the excuse for an assassin. Yet while she almost felt bad, this is what he got for both attacking her and planning to kill someone, a blinding cut to the face.
Quickly, while she watched Ivan, she stumbled to stop her second attack in time, the man with both blood across his face and pain unimaginable written onto his horrid, intimidating expression. He was lucky her blade couldn’t cut through bone nor did any permanent damage, but as he seemingly tried to escape her, crawling like an insect on its knees before it toppled over into a cold sleep, Mimi’s expression relaxed while she took the second to breathe, realizing the fight was over, and she had easily won.
“That’s what you get.” Mimi spoke, solidifying her position and grip on her sword.
Mimi wasn’t going to let him suffer for too long though, already coming to kneel beside the giant she slew like the gods from Norse mythology had once done, and with a lick to her finger, and a properly placed poke in the center of his forehead with said finger, the healing process had begun by a temporary transfer... Now, depending on how Ivan handled pain, it wouldn’t be long until he woke after, but that wasn’t to say he’d wake up feeling good, likely he’d feel the pain from her attack for a while, and that wasn’t even factoring in the possible trauma she might’ve caused him, especially the humiliation alone.
She pulled the knife from his hand, disarming him as her ego spoke. “Welp, you put up a good fight, though next time, maybe don’t plan on assassinating people, I mean honestly, what did you expect? You tried to assassinate someone when you should’ve known better to do so in a place like this, like, I’m pretty sure superstars live here even… Which begs the question, who exactly did you wake up with that battle cry of yours?” She questioned, all while reaching under her dress petal to pull out some classic, good old-fashioned zip-ties- Oh. This guy has big wrists…
Well shit, I better call the cops before he wakes up.
Mimi instead pulled out her phone, standing up and heading over where she dropped her spear and already, she was on the phone with what would be the Chinese equivalent of 911. “...Hey, I’d like to report a trespassing and attempted murder...”
…
“no like, the guy is knocked out now, but send a police officer over, would you? This guy- oh.”
Mimi was just informed of her location’s little addition: the property they were standing on belonged to no other except the chief of police himself, Mimi both internally panicking, and overall, actually proud of herself. She just saved the chief of police from getting assassinated, she was like, a really epic hero now.
Does she get a medal now or something?
“Well, let him know we’re in his front yard, and that a superstar literally just saved his butt from becoming tomorrow’s news.”
…
“Who? Redstar Obviously, the cool one?-”
At the sound of the operator questioning who exactly was Redstar, Mimi hung up the call nearly instantly, her face tells it all as she was suddenly upset by her lack of popularity and the confusion in the operator’s voice. She had saved like, a bunch of people, does that not give her some shred of popularity? At all? Well, fine, who cares anyhow, as long as she gets to fight, she’s all good.
In conclusion, she started with finally collecting her spear and placing her own bloody blade in its former hidden compartment, noting the scratches that were starting to accumulate across the spear’s handle. She really mistreated this thing, didn’t she? She probably needed to look into new weapons as mentioned before, or even a new hero outfit, maybe one with better armor…
Nah, she was all the armor she needed, haha.
She stood, waiting for the chief to come out and do his arresting thing, however she found herself nearly on the verge of sleep, it already extremely late. Hopefully, the man wouldn’t try to escape if he woke up, and she knew the pain would help keep him in check.
Plus “…Oh man, this knife is actually cool, I think I’ma keep it.” Mimi noted, pocketing the knife.
