The local Police Chief had been a thorn in the local Triads side for a while, he refused to accept bribes to let the gangs operate in the richest zones of Hong Kong, today, that ended. The boss in the area found out that Red Ivan had arrived in the area, and was very excited to see if Ivan lived up to his reputation, with a crooked cop lined up to be the next chief they just needed the current one gone.
To Ivan, this was an easy op. Police wont have much escort, only one bullet, easy getaway. Plus, he would only need one or two days to plan it. Turns out, the Chief is a family man, with a wife and two kids. Inside a quaint home with two floors, a large garden with watered flowers, the place you would be totally relaxed in. The perfect place for Ivan to enter and eliminate his target. An hour of scouting later, he mapped out an entrance and escape plan, go at 11pm so everyone is asleep. Knock the front door, wait for an answer, either weasel his way inside or just force his way in, take out whoever answers the door with his head, drag the person inside and close the door. Then the rest is easy, whoever he encounters next will be a child or his very sleepy target. Both easy to take out, course one he will have to kill, but that is easy to Ivan, like a second nature. Then he needs to just hop out a back window and hop over the garden fence.
Then came the next day, Ivan is equipped with a knife hidden in his jacket, and he is wearing his Soviet army surplus gear. Ready to enact his plan, although, Ivan doesn't feel right about this whole thing, like, it isn't going to go the way he wants it to. Ivan shook his head and made sure he was leaving his precognition on so he wouldn't get surprised by something he wasn't expecting and have his career ended. So Ivan steeled himself and began walking up to the door of the house. It was dead silent around the only noise being made is a distant car engine. As Ivan crossed the road he stood at the bottom of the Chief's garden, he pulled his gloves further onto his wrists and with a scorn hopped the garden fence and walked up to the door, he was just about to knock when his precognition warned him of some movement in the street behind him.

You wouldn’t really expect Redstar to be in the fancy part of the Gaochao District, much less the rich, residential section that contained both the hierarchy of several common jobs like police chiefs and whatnot. Frankly she wasn’t even sure how she got there, the cloud district shadowing overhead, although instead of concrete covering the sky like that of the Maze District, there were panels littering the underside of each surface of concrete or otherworldly material effectively holding up the sky, replicating the clouds and in essence, the sky itself. Meanwhile, Mimi had pretty much gotten lost on her way home from patrol, and with her phone dead thanks to the electric-eating, scumbag excuse for a mugger she had to take down earlier, she had no way of navigating the dense city.
Why did Hong Kong have to be so huge and outright tall in the first place? Wasn’t there a better option when it came to city building? How about like, giant mountain cities? She would love to live in the mountains instead of the mazes that made up the place, and there wasn’t even a bus stop nearby, what’s up with that? The entire situation, in general, was beginning to frustrate Mimi, gripping her spear near the front like one would hold a dagger, and starting to look out and around her, hoping for some clue as to where her apartment was, or maybe even a passerby who could direct her in the well, right direction.
Though who would even be out at this time, it was dark and even somewhat scary, the lights littering the street being the only source of notably annoying warm light in the area, although some houses did have some lights on still. She may be afraid of the dark, but this certainly wasn’t as dark as it could’ve been at least. However, shivers ran up her back as she saw a shadow cross the corner of her eye, her head swiftly turning to spot the disturbance from its original lowered position. “…Oh, what’s that guy doing…” She muttered quietly, witnessing a man approach a resident's fence, quickly jumping right into a victim’s front yard… Ugh, What the hell man, why do you have to be like this at 11 PM at night?
Mimi nearly facepalmed, wishing she was in bed already.
Well, if she had just finished patrol, she was right back into the action, running across the sidewalk towards the scene of the trespassing while the man would be presumably approaching the front of the house, obviously.
“What the heck do you think you’re doing?!” She called, quickly using the star-shaped pommel of her spear to effectively catapult herself across the garden fence, quickly spotting the trespasser, and within a millisecond of thought, used the first foot that reached the sidewalk leading to the door to launch herself past the rather tall, menacing perpetrator, switching the pommel to effectively try ‘n poke the suspicious man in the gut while she used the house’s wall near the door as yet another catapult, adding weight to her attack.
Admittedly, her aim might’ve been off a few inches, should he dodge or something and basically allow her to tumble over right past him, which was well, highly likely, especially if he had a third eyeball. She didn’t like those.

Ivan saw the unknown persons attack coming, due to his precognition and the fact she spoke, so he steps to the side anticipating the attack, which would cause the attacker to stumble past him, and land on the concrete of the garden path with a thud, Ivan then spins around and says...
"Woah, watch out, I am just this guys..." Ivan said, holding his hands out in front of him.
"Oh Ебать это" Ivan curses to himself before pulling the combat knife out of his jacket and throwing it up in the air and catching it in his hands with the aim to intimidate.
"I will give you one chance to leave, if you don't take it... Well, safe to say it wont be pretty for you."
Ivan is being lenient here to not attract attention, which a fight would do, but he is prepared for the Superstar to act dumb so if a fight starts he wants to finish it quickly, before he wakes the Chief or anyone else up.
Ivan begins to speak to show the Superstar how outmatched she is, trying to get her to give up and leave.
"I am a Metahuman you know. Just like you are, except you are a flashy one, with no mind for combat. That spear isn't useful in close combat there isn't any room to manoeuvre it, and holding it like that wont help, whats the point of using a spear if you are going to use it like that, plus the weight in balance will throw the whole spear off. I have the height advantage, presumably strength and that opening move was stupid, you just stumbled right past me, if I had pounced I could end you in an instant. All in all, I have the advantage here, so how about you just back off down the road and let me conclude my business."
After he finished speaking Ivan would catch the knife by its handle and point it at RedStar.
"So? what do you feel like doing?"
Four more uses on his precognition. Lets hope this ends quick.

“WHY DID YOU MOVE THAT COULD’VE BEEN EPIC NOO” Mimi spat loudly as she tumbled forward awkwardly, landing on her back with a large thud on solid pavement. Although she recovered remarkably quickly considering the norm, rolling to the side and bouncing right back up as she swiftly turned around with the spear being held tightly with both hands, the more lethal side of her weapon now directed at the peculiar, actually somewhat intimidating trespasser. She finally had a clear view now of the man in question, noting several aspects of individual, most prominently the foreign tongue he spoke and notable age, and the somewhat insulting demands he had. “Excuse me, but I’m pretty sure you were about to break into that person’s house and that’s like, illegal in Hong Kong you know, right?” Mimi explained, pointing to the house in question with the spear and then quickly directing it back to Ivan.
Then came the intimidation, of all things. Oh, look at me I’m some vicious meta who’s gonna tell you how to actually fight and be a jerk about it Wow, real mature big guy, next you’ll be telling me how to do the laundry! Who even tells people the flaws in their fighting styles anyhow? Yeah sure, she was grateful to know that he apparently had advantages she didn’t know about, but how was that going to stop her from stabbing him? Or pretty much defeating him entirely? Nothing, nothing at all, in fact, it only made her smarter than him!
“Okay so, monologues aren’t really my thing, but man, who says they’re a meta as an intimidation move? You could’ve been like:” With the added bonus of using her spear like a unibrow and the most fake excuse for a serious face she could muster, lightly swinging from left to right in a teasing manner; “I’m a highly trained robber who has the ability to destroy you with lame excuses for threats, get out while you can Starchild and never come back, blah blah blah!” Mimi taunted, returning to her original spear-wielding position. “See! Like that. It would’ve been at least scarier then the infomercial you got going there, which thanks by the way, now I’m smarter then you!”
She prepared to guard for the chance of an early strike on his part, but that didn’t shut her mouth as she interrupted the man’s attempt to speak on the last part.
“And oh ho ho, one last thing, for the record, I was trying not to hurt you and instead I was going to give you, the blubbering moron in this conversation, a chance to leave without going to jail, but hell now you’re gonna go to jailll, so I guess I’m just gonna have to stab you! Repeatably!” She exclaimed, and that’s when Redstar charged forward once again, however, she actually had a plan since this giant excuse for a monstrous robber seemed to be on the defensive and effectively, had the advantage in both strengths, and well, height. She was going to pull back if he pushed forward, trying to move him away toward the more open area, so she could actually get behind him and land some hits to the back.

Upon hearing the small Superstars response, which didn't state it clearly, but was a clear "NO!" Ivan ignored the taunts coming out of the Superstars mouth, he went to respond verbally before Ivan got a flash of a charge coming from the naïve teen.
Ivan slickly dodged her charge by spinning around to the back of the Superstar and with his knife arm locked her neck behind his elbow, and with his free hand grabbed her lower back and with a grunt threw her backwards towards the picket fence over his right shoulder, his aim being to throw her through the fence. However, instead of capitalizing on his advantage, he decides to give another chance.
"I will count this as your last chance instead, you get up and charge and maybe I will start using this thing, although you are probably too stupid to take that offer, I mean, you thought you could take me on!" Ivan began to chuckle to himself
While his opponent was recovering from Ivan's throw, whether she stabilize mid air, or slam through the fence, began analysing her fighting style. For she seemed quite good with her spear, even if it was the wrong weapon for this situation, she was good at fighting, but had no clue how to prepare for it. This should be easy, but what is her power? maybe its super speed or something. Who knows?
"Listen child, I am not one for taunts. If you feel like fighting me, then don't bother taunting. I am more than your petty criminal, I am the deadly assassin Red Ivan! I will hurt you, so come on then, I will fight you, and crush you like the bug you are."
Ivan bends his back down, flips his knife so its blade is facing the ground, and would hold it towards his head, a few centimetres away from his right cheek, with his other hand open, with the palm facing towards the ground ready to grab hold of the Superstars spear. Ivan stares directly at his opponent, with a smirk on his face, confident he is able to crush this fool who tried to step to Ivan. For his age, Ivan is quite athletic, although he isn't as great in a prolonged engagement
"Three more." Ivan says under his breath, louder than he realizes due to how cocky he is being at the moment.

“What-”
For one second, the man was at his original location, the next, he slipped to the side like a snake in tall grass, his arm in the perfect location to put her in a headlock, nearly choking Mimi as he grabbed the back of her uniform to effectively throw her from over his right shoulder, into the fence. How the heck had he been in the perfect position to do that, it was almost as if he was seeing her attack before she even made a move, and frankly ‘future vision’ wasn’t scientifically possible, especially if it worked like the supposed time-travel… Though, anything was possible, like what if he was predicting her movements? Or was from the future? Or what if- Blah, it doesn’t matter, she’s just going to have to keep trying harder, maybe if she aimed for the feet she could knock him over.
Thud.
Mimi landed on her feet along with the pavement this time, rubbing her back before standing up straight with her spear still in her grip, listening to him threatening her like a moron. As if he could do anything with a knife in hand, she was practically immortal with her healing factor in play, since sure it might hurt, but he couldn’t do any damage that wouldn’t repair itself easily, and she’d keep fighting no matter the wounds she gains, since they’ll simply stop existing within seconds, depending. Meanwhile this time she didn’t interrupt him, since he was absolutely full of information, like let’s see… He’s cocky for one, possibly for good reason with his combat ability… Hm.
While he continued to once again monologue, she took the time to realize that he was right about one thing, a spear wouldn’t work in this fight, tuning him out as she placed the spear behind her, and began to unscrew the star-shaped pommel from the spear itself, holding her gaze and preparing to move backwards if he threatened to attack her while she was still retrieving her new weapon of choice, a sword that while it didn’t have a guard protecting her hand from falling onto the blade, it made a great weapon of choice when it came to close quarters, albeit hard to pull out during battle considering well, having to remove it from the spear by a screw function. Thankfully, this old man was a moron, giving her a last chance as the sword’s sheath, the remaining spear without its former pommel and interior, dropped to the ground with a loud clang, similar to a partially hollow pipe falling hitting concrete.
The tables had turned, at least in Mimi’s eyes.
She drew the sword forward with her left hand, the right held behind her back as she took a stance. “You really underestimate your opponents, leaving me a chance to equip a better weapon was not the best choice.” She replied, the scarf connected to the pommel of the revealed blade remaining. So, his name was Red Ivan, not a petty criminal but instead some sort of assassin, that must’ve been why he was jumping fences, he was going to kill someone, probably someone important, but who? Regardless it didn’t matter now, he wouldn’t be able to complete his attempted assassination with a Superstar breathing down his neck, and surely, they would gain attention eventually, even if it took all night.
Once again, she had to be serious with her attacks, as obviously this man was someone who was either gifted with amazing prediction skills or had skills that may be more experienced then hers in general, after all, he did claim he had the advantage, just now she had to see how far that advantage went. “So, you think you can defeat me with that puny thing? I think you should consider backing off before my weapon, let me remind you it’s recently sharpened, cuts you into tiny pieces because trust me, healing afterward does not take away the pain inflicted.”
She spoke from both her own experience and that of others.

Ivan began to chuckle at the mention of his knife being puny.
"You haven't seen what this thing can do to call it puny, you don't need a sword to cut an artery, or to slit the jugular on your neck." Ivan began quickly speaking, pointing his knife at Red's jugular.
"Anyway enough talk."
Ivan thought about what to do for a moment, his plan being formulated in his head, maybe he could dash in now for a surprise? No, there is too much danger of being stabbed there. How about, sliding in and cutting her legs to make her fall over? For once, being too tall is an issue here. Maybe if I throw my knife towards her, and then she is going to deflect it with her sword, and that would leave her open! Perfect. Once finished, Ivan flipped the knife up so its blade was facing the sky, a second later he throws it at Red, the plan being for her to deflect it with her sword, so it is out of the way, and she is unable to use it to defend herself. Immediately after he threw the knife, he began running towards Red, planning to get close enough to Red so that he can neutralize her sword by making it unable to manoeuvre at such close quarters.
If Ivan is able to get in close enough, Ivan would throw his head towards Red, aiming to headbutt her, which would daze her for another move.

“And you don’t have to braindead to be stupid.” She muttered in response.
If she was going to defeat this man, she was going to have to let him attack first, that way all she had to do was counter attacks quickly and find an opening- Oh whoa, I’m actually strategizing, that was really- Focus man, get a hold of yourself! Mimi reminded herself with a shake of the head, watching as Ivan stood there, finally declaring that the battle of words had ended, and that of the blades had begun, a small space of time leaving them both silent and as dead like winter, only for it to erupt in flames mere seconds after he threw a knife at her, Mimi moving back at a left angle to counteract the blade as it passed right by her lower right shoulder, the skin being grazed, however simply closing shut seconds after. Although, the remaining blood that had made its escape in the time the wound repaired itself, and a feeling similar to a papercut, were now acting as great reminders that she needed to be quicker when reacting with this one, since maybe, possibly…
He was still cocky as ever.
Mimi hoped the left-handed attack that followed would set him off guard, positioning the blade within the remaining milliseconds she had left to slice across his frontal-left side as he barreled toward her, and if that didn’t work, hoped that the spear that she had dropped on the ground previous would trip him somehow, sending him flying onto the pavement with the result being a broken nose, or giving her a chance to strike him across the back in an attempt to completely disable him, and ending this fight. Though with all this, she was partially distracted, the thought to cross her mind again regarding his apparent age, and then that of his foreign speech when she had first attacked, wondering what exactly someone so old and far from home was doing here, of all places? Mind you, 50 wasn’t exactly old nowadays, and you know, maybe he was from Japan since assassins are like a thing in anime. Blah, who knows, maybe he killed his family and came to China to escape punishment!
...It certainly would explain the lousy threats and infomercials, since why wouldn’t you want to give someone information that could actually kill you after living with such a shame of practically ending what could’ve been a long, prosperous bloodline? Hell, certainly not her, she’d rather die then live with the shame of actually killing someone, good or bad, that’s why she had healing powers in the first place, she could just reverse anything she did to someone, while leaving them with the glory of suffering for their crimes by nonexistent pain… Which uh, actually sounds sort of morbid now that she thought about it, but also strange at the same time since they’re well, not dying?
...She was going to have to validate the morality of her methods.

With a flash, Ivan saw the wound created by the knife seal instantly, and exactly where Red was going to move, and slash for. Ivan now guesses that Red's power is healing. Cyka. Welp. Time to put that factor to the test. In the flash Ivan saw where the knife flew. His plan? Bank hard to the right, roll towards the knife, grab it quick, wherever it was in that direction and hope he is back up in time to counter any blow coming from Red.
Of course, that relies on Red being nice and slow, or distracted.
Okay, new plan. Roll under the slash, even if some of the skin on his head gets cut, and his beret flies off, he could take that, then by the time he is past the blade, aim for Red's knees, try and get her on the ground so he can go for his knife.
With a grunt, and a teeth grit in preparation, Ivan goes into a roll and just as he comes out of it he makes contact with the blade, the cold steel tearing his beret in half, as well as giving a light cut on the very top of his head, once past the blade he gets to his feet quick, and throws his left foot towards the side of Red's knee, and his left hand, curled into a fist at Red's face, with his right hand in a palm towards Red's sword arm, hoping to grab onto her elbow and keep her sword away. With so many actions at once, the only move that is fully accurate would probably be the leg strike. With the right hand block probably being easy to counter and push out of the way.
Ivan is having second thoughts about his upper hand in this fight, scolding himself for not bringing his rifle. This is the most active area in Hong Kong for Superstars, and he didn't come prepared for them!
Sometimes, Ivan hates himself. As well as Red right now, and the people who hired him. The Chief, for just living here.

For a second Mimi thought the man had tripped over his own feet, but her own eyes widened as she realized he had rolled under her attack mostly intact, although blood had finally stained her blade, along with the ragged material of whatever the heck this was from his former hat, letting the material slip off her blade as it spread the blood further across her weapon. Disgusting. Her eyes removed themselves from the sight she had turned to as she felt her knee buckle under her weight, a solid kick striking her in the knee as she stumbled back in surprise, narrowly missing a punch to the face, and quickly retaliating. However, her retaliation was somewhat awkward as she defensively slashed blindly toward the man who had landed a strike on her knee, his hand reaching out to grab her arm the most likely to take a hit as she scrambled to escape the line of fire he had created.
There were too many things happening up close, she needed some space.
She pulled back, her left hand coming to support her blade as a possible shield against another attack while she took a second to recover, thankful her knee hadn’t bent backward. So, even when she hadn’t been the first to attack, the man had managed to predict her actions to outsmart him, and frankly, she was running out of options. She began to strategize, as Mimi knew he was unarmed now, and if he went after his weapon there was a good chance the fight would shift in his favor, so obviously, she had to get it first. She retook her original stance as she threatened the man with her sword “Don’t move!”, betting that no matter if he either attacked her directly or turned to retrieve his weapon from beside the gate, he would be forced to expose himself in a way she could take advantage of.
“You and I both know if you turn your back to me, you’re dead.” Mimi sternly murmured to the offender, cold eyes gazing over him, but if someone looked closely they could see the faintest sign of her having been overwhelmed just a few seconds previous, a heavy sigh on her chest as she stood her ground. What if there was another option she hadn’t considered? What type of abilities did he have exactly? Super strength? Mimi tried to remember from the brief informercial he had given her like, twice, as to any reference besides ‘I’m a meta’ which she still thought was a lame excuse for a threat.
…Didn’t he briefly mention something about three more?
What did that mean exactly? There were too many things it could be related to, unless her previous thought was correct, and he basically had a limited amount of future vision to which… Damn it, why couldn’t it be something simple like teleportation, or flying powers? Regardless she was getting frustrated, managing to tie his ability to his perfect avoidances of her attacks, but still delaying on what he meant exactly by three more, which would be two now, she assumed.
Was he just going to fall over and die?
That would be great.
"Listen, you can still stop this and leave. We don't have to fight and look, you're already injured, I can heal you if you promise just to leave already, okay?" She explained, trying yet another time, mostly because she wanted to go to bed now and be done with this, a yawn threatening to make an appearance.

Ivan's smirk had returned once he had saw his blows had given him the advantage. Until, the hasty swing from his opponents sword slashed his outward palm, he saw it coming, but it was too quick to dodge. This caused Ivan to recoil and pull back, nursing his hand. Examining the wound, it seemed like Red's blade had sliced straight along the middle of his palm as well as some of the top of his hand, it wasn't bad, but it clearly set a precedent in Ivan's mind.
When Red had raised her voice, telling Ivan to stop moving, Ivan listened intently, for the fight was certainly to his advantage just then, however, if he kept on going like the way he did, he would keep sustaining wounds, his age would catch up to him, as well as his wounds. Ivan did not like what Red was saying, but it was very true. Even his attack there didn't slow her down enough for him to get his blade, and her new offer was intriguing, a way to get off scot-free? and healing? So she can either transfer her power to other people, or she is going to take him to a hospital, Ivan is praying for the former. Then again, Meta's don't really need to visit Hospitals. So it is probably the former. She was far too lenient. Ivan reckons he could take advantage of that.
Ivan began planning on how he could take advantage of this. Safe to say, to at least incapacitate her, he needed his knife. Ivan knew where it flew, but not where it was specifically. Ok, excuse is, I need to find my beret, all the shreds of it which could be anywhere, and is a pretty good thing to say, since he cant just say, "Lemme get my blade please". He also needs to move quick to properly take advantage of her lack of authority, if I can get moving quick she cant really stop him. After finishing his plan, Ivan straightened his back, to tower over Red, then Ivan put on his lying voice and got to work with Ivan's deception skills.
"Fine. I will take you up on that offer, I just need to get my stuff. I need to re-stitch my beret together for one thing." Ivan said, not looking at RedStar, quickly trying to edge towards the bush his knife fell into.
Ivan was only looking for a few seconds before he thought he saw it, a glint in the bushes. Safe to say, given a few more seconds, he would have it. But, that all depends on what RedStar does here.

Once a vicious, spiteful foe in battle, Ivan turned easily to a neutral path once injured, finally accepting Mimi’s offer of both peace and recovery. In a way, she was thankful the man was willing to compromise, but something in the back of her mind warned her of the extreme simplicity, basically meaning it was too easy, as with any villain she had encountered, they often always proved to be stubborn and deceptive, easily discovered by Mimi due to the low quality of both lies and trickery used. However, despite a trustworthy instinct, she decided to ignore the warning signs of a possible deceptive plot, burying her instincts a few feet into her subconscious, although somewhat still apparent despite the layers of fog added.
The submersion of the thought didn’t stop her from taking precautions in the possible event that maybe he was taking advantage of her, making sure to lightly impale the dirt between the cracks in the sidewalk when she came to semi-kneel on the concrete slab, each one making up the mentioned private sidewalk… Mimi suddenly noted that if they didn’t leave soon they could both be charged with trespassing if spotted. Welp regardless, for now, Mimi listened to the confirmation the assassin provided to make sure he was clear, Mimi allowing him to search for his torn cap even though a majority of material got caught on her sword. Honestly, what was so important about a cap anyhow? There wasn’t even that much sun in Hong Kong to worry about nowadays, with artificial lights and structures built above them towering overhead.
Meanwhile, she neglectfully didn’t spot the glint that Ivan did, and although while Mimi didn’t like how close he was getting to the point where the dagger may have fallen, she didn’t enforce him to remain unarmed since he had been injured pretty decently previous to now, with that hand wound she gave him and whatnot which still left him vulnerable. Mimi looked toward the material when his search provoked yet another thought, and from her semi-kneel, Mimi picked up the ragged material that had once been his cap when her sword had caught onto it, inspecting the damage. Mimi herself had experience in sewing since she created her own costume with the help of her friend, but this material looked unsalvageable, probably requiring another piece of material to patch the massive slash she had caused it, or well, being remade completely.
“You know, you don’t seem like the sewing type, but this material you got here isn’t exactly salvageable, I mean like, that slash pretty much separated and tore parts of the thing. You’d need something like some scraps or maybe try inverting the hat when you stitch to make concealed stitches.” She advised, holding the material out for Ivan to possibly pick up when he stopped searching near the bushes. Wait, the entire thing was right in her hand, albeit there were parts of material on the ground around her, why was he searching over there in the first place? Mimi’s suspicion returned, this time rising with helium out of the ocean.
Redstar was now regretting having pointed out his disadvantage when she could have just incapacitated him previously, and so she decided in that case, maybe she should put him out of commission, so he didn’t do anything stupid when she healed him. Mimi got up quietly as she pulled the sword out of the crack between sidewalk slabs, approaching him as she spoke. “...Hey, do you want some help looking?” She asked Ivan, although the tense in her voice was notable, suggesting she was up to something.
Mimi’s sword was up high 'n aimed directly at his back, preparing to slash from left to right in an attempt to disable him.
But one thing had escaped her in this situation, as in the use of his prediction skills.

Ivans hand was within an inch of his blade, confident he had managed to trick RedStar. I mean, those Superstars are stupid enough to think like that right? Plus, they are the goody two shoes types, not the type of people for betrayals.
"Oh I know, its why I need to find the scraps of the damn thing." Ivan said, in response to RedStars advice about his beret this point, Ivan's un-injured hand was on the blade.
"No I wont need any help." Ivan noted the strangeness in his opponents voice, but he ignored it because of his pre-conceptions about Superstars.
Ivan was about to stand up and spin around ready for his healing, preparing to conceal the knife behind his back, until...
A flash! an attack from the Superstar behind him! While this was a bad thing, this could be exactly what he needed, a chance to put Red out of action, and for him to finish his target. Ivan saw the flash of an attack from left to right. His plan? roll to the right, evading Red's blow mostly, a nick wont do much to Ivan, and it certainly wont do as that slash would. Slash the back of his opponents ankles, and stick the knife through her right kneecap, to properly incapacitate her.
So Ivan did just that. First the roll and slash. If those go well, then its time for the knife through the kneecap. Honestly, he had misjudged this Superstar. This was supposed to be an easy mission, with no challenge, first off it made Ivan to always remember to plan for Superstars next time, even though they are impossible to plan for, just bring more weaponry next time. Also, he misjudged Red's character, he thought she would be a plucky Superstar who is a goody two shoes, betrayal did not come in to Ivan's mind. While this made Ivan insanely angry, he also gained a modicum of respect. Either way, Ivan was determined to finish his target, if that meant taking wounds. Then he would take wounds. Issue is, he needs to end this quick, since he is out of precognition charges now, as well as the fact that he is too old to be rolling around like this. Safe to say, after this Police Chief, this Superstar is his next target.

She had him just where she wanted the man, however to her near dismay she hadn’t exactly outsmarted Ivan, in fact, the crucial information regarding how many moves he had until he was basically vulnerable to her attacks had been nearly forgotten when she realized her mistake, harshly reacting as she found herself in a difficult position. First in the damages was her left ankle to the right, taking a serious hit that thankfully her boots protected her from unless he chose to strike once again at the now-exposed ankles. It didn’t help that her mind was conflicting with herself at the moment, trying to figure out what exactly she was doing as she started to stumble with the force of his attack, however, she didn’t allow this mishap to stop her, the roll and attack taking their course while Mimi swiftly turned counter-clockwise to his attack since she hadn’t gotten to swing to the right when he sadly used what she assumed to be the remains of his powers.
“Stay down, hog!” She verbally assaulted him, comparing his large frame to that of a primitive species of pig.
She wouldn’t let him beat her, her right hand coming to grip the handle along with her left as the blade barreled towards Ivan’s face, completely dead-set on disabling him whether she cut his neck open, shoulder, or whatever else was in her blade’s way… Though, she knew she should’ve waited, striking just before she had healed him instead of doing this. Now she was going to have to repair her boots, something she might as well just replace. At least she wasn’t to get any lasting wounds from this, soon she’d likely disable him with pain alone, although who knew what else the moron had up his sleeve, guns? Side note, where the hell was the owner of this property? All this noise should’ve attracted some attention by now.
And man, you know I was right to be suspicious of his actions now that I think about it, I mean like he pulled a fricken knife on me during a truce… Although I may not have been fair considering I came close to knocking him out of commission, EXCEPT FOR THE FACT I WASN’T PLANNING ON KILLING HIM UNLIKE THIS BLOODY EXCUSE FOR ASSASIN. Man, who is he even after? I should’ve tried just blocking his path, then maybe I could go to sleep when I was actually SUPPOSED TO!
Does he have no sense of time?
Mimi’s thoughts were jagged and unstructured, blame and confusion working together as her expression reflected both the turmoil, and the fury that rolled in her mind at both her misstep and his willingness to try and deceive her. He was a deceptive brat who thought they could get away with murder, well newsflash, not in her city, not while she’s on patrol, and hell, nowhere within Redstar’s earshot, the undying star of Hong Kong…
Ooh, that’s a nice title, I’m gonna have to trademark that or something
FOCUS MAN WE’RE IN A BATTLE
Shit
Her blade was still barreling toward Ivan, her weight being thrown into the weapon, however, this time she was prepared for the possibility that he avoided her attacks once again since there was only one way for him to dodge and that, was to the left. She was planning to throw her weight to the right once again if the possibility came true, her feet likely to stumble as she tried to get a hit on a moving target… That was it, she needed better weapons, she needed to get weapon carriers, and most importantly…
She needed to work on her strategy.

Ivan had managed to manoeuvre out of the way of the slash, even if it was still coming towards him, he could move quick enough to get another light slash on his arm, or chest, either way, he could take it.
All he needed was the blade to slice through.
That's all.
Ivan's blade collided with Red's boot, making a SHING noise, as it sliced across and bounced off the boot. At this turn of events, Ivans eyes widened, safe to say, the red mist began to descend over him, this was the end of the master assassin. BROUGHT DOWN BY A CHILD! A GOODY TWO SHOES SUPERSTAR! ONE WITH BARELY ANY KNOWLEDGE OF COMBAT! Ivan thought, his expression slowly turning into an even bigger frown. Quickly going over the situation in his mind, every move he made, assessing which was wrong to make. To him, no move he made was wrong, because of this, the red mist began to descend over him. He got angrier and angrier. He began to roar into the sky, his mouth stretching to its very limits, of course he could only do this for a few moments, before the blade barrelling toward him slashed him across the face, cutting across his nose and left eye, which would cause him to flop to the left, barely conscious due to the pain he was feeling. The only thing keeping him up was his infernal anger inside him, he has stopped roaring, cut off due to the slash, however, his previous roaring DEFINETLY woke someone up, if they weren't already awake due to the fighting. Ivan uses his hands to push himself up from the ground, centimetres away from the garden path, blood dripping from his face, teeth gritted so much, his jaw begins to hurt, breathing heavily, to anyone watching, this sight would be intimidating. Ivan begins to lift himself off the pavement even more, his rage blinding him to the pain. Of course, if Ivan was younger, this would work, Ivan can take pain in his rage filled state. But, not this amount. Just as he begins to push himself further off the pavement, his arms give in and he lands hard on the pavement with a THUD.
Ivan is unconscious and he is going to be VERY angry when he wakes up.
