Becky was sitting on one of the many billboards in the Gaochao District. She had no idea when her "opponent" was going to actually show up. As far as she knew, the banter between them had been nothing but jokes. At the same time though...this was a bit of a big chance for her. She had always wanted to prove to the world that the Superstars were nothing like the media and government made them to be.
"Let's see..."
She pulled out her phone, pulling up a document she had saved for on the go. She hadn't been able to get too much, but she figured that the person she would be seeing was this "Red Star." "Spear's the main weapon it looks like...not a ton of stuff besides that from the looks of things...can't underestimate her though. Now..gotta figure out a way to...introduce myself..."
Becky sighed in slight frustration as she looked around. She was in an empty parking lot, essentially, so there wasn't exactly a ton of stuff available off the bat...oooh, perfect! There were some electronic billboards with commercials being shown on them."
"This oughta work...at least for the start~" She smirked to herself as she made her way up to one of the many billboards in the city. This one just happened to be doing an ad for some new car that had been coming out. Viral laughed as she hopped up and transferred herself into the board, getting to her work and waiting for Redstar to show up. At the very least she was going to get a loooooot of fun out of this.

From home, Mimi finally arrived at the scene of the empty parking lot with her Crimson spear over her shoulder, eyes wandering from wall to wall of the buildings and fences that separated the human populists from falling over the edge of the multi-level city, gazing across a valley of raised, interconnected roads and buildings as she crossed the concrete flat to gain a closer look, nearly forgetting what she was here for. Hong Kong was more like a mega-city then anything nowadays, even if it didn’t cover a large surface area that could be seen from space, it towers over trees, holding up the sky like the Titan Atlas from Greek Mythology, and overall, displays the grand and glorious nature of the power it holds.
Although, with all the said glory and power it holds, it doesn’t mean to say it doesn’t have a rotten underside like a log in a swamp, threatening to collapse the entire city with the threats of rebels or revolutionists who occasionally terrorize the population no matter the district level. Honestly, it was becoming extremely common nowadays, and so many of them claimed all superstars were just puppets ‘n posers, people looking for fame and fortune while not even providing the safety and protection they were supposed to stand for, and maybe, Mimi was beginning to agree with them, that maybe they were right. However, Mimi refused to lower to that standard regardless of what anyone says or tells her to do because regardless of what the others do, she was going to be whatever the hell she wanted to be, and that was a hero, a crimefighter even if she didn’t get the recognition she deserved.
She was going to protect people, or at least stop the ones trying to hurt them… But, she wondered, if she was protecting everyone else, what did that leave her?
Blah, who even cares, I’m practically invisible, no one can defeat me, and no one will! She reasoned.
Moving on from personal thoughts, Mimi noted how she hadn’t spotted her sparring partner yet, and oddly enough she had crossed the entire parking lot without even a sign of them… Had they been joking? If they had been it was fine of course since she could just go on patrol from here, and there was a really nice view here too, Mimi wished she’d known about this before, it’s the perfect hangout spot.
She let out a sigh, turning back from the edge of the parking lot she had crossed to, stretching upward from head to toe, spear still in hand. Maybe she should consider changing to a close-ranged weapon, she didn’t know how powerful this character would be, and while she was sure she could take them on regardless of what weapon she had, if they were a close-quarters type of fellow, bad luck would be on her side.
Meh, it was better to wait until they arrived, unless they were already here, in which case they probably won hide n’ seek often considering… Though, if she was fighting an invisible force, she was partially concerned.
“Sooo, anybody around here?” She asked the air, her stretching ending as she used her spear similar to a cane to lean on while she waited.

Viral hummed to herself as she calmly messed with the electronic billboard, smirking as she at least made the person in the advertisement a girl, making the words much more cuss-related and the advertisement became more of just a party scene with glitches on some of the imagery along with the words of equality, anti-superstar stuff, etc. She couldn't help but look down though as she heard Mimi make her way onto the scene. "Ooh...this is going to be fun.."
She hopped out of the billboard, looking back at the now loudly-yelling girl, the car advertisement long gone and it was more of a pro-rebel advertisement at this point. She smirked as she made her way down towards Mimi, looking down at her.
"So you're the girl I'm supposed to be scared of?" Viral slid down one of the poles on the side of the building as she landed on the parking lot, hopping off and walking up to Mimi. Her hair was in a vibrant orange color today, much different from the color she may have been photographed with a few days ago. She looked her over, everything seemed to admittedly match the description that she seemed to find. This wasn't one of the more majorly known superstars but..she would be useful enough.
"Do...you want to go to a specific goal with this fight or...are we just showing off? What's the end goal here?" She shrugged, walking around Red Star and looking her over. Height advantage..definitely. Weapons, Red Star had the advantage right now but she could easily change that if something was close. Yeah..this fight shouldn't be TOOOO bad.
"I'm just asking..want to see what you actually want to TRY to do to me." Viral smiled a tiny bit. She wanted to have fun but..at the same time she was going to at least attempt to take this seriously. First big fight against a Superstar and all, gotta make an appearance look good.

As if on cue, there was her opponent, a billboard-hopping-down-from… Rebel, from the looks of the digital graffiti alone. “…Pretty much,” She summarized, “but it’s nice to meet you regardless of assumptions, my name is Redstar, how about you?” She added, reaching a hand to shake, although, with a sudden expression of confusion, she hesitated, her hand drawing back at the last second considering the circumstances of their meeting… Mimi wasn’t really sure how to interact with this person, once having boasted her abilities to take them down or possibly even kill them ((Although never coming down to it on her watch)) with ease online, but now actually faced with the vibrant hair and somewhat tallish figure of infect1on? She seemed full of life and maybe someone she wouldn’t mind hanging out with sometimes instead of well, trying to stab her.
“Well, honestly between you and me, I wasn’t really expecting you to want to pick a fight with me especially considering the risks, so I guess maybe we could just fight normally until one of us gets tired? I mean I have medical aid prepared if one of us does something serious, so you’ll be okay if any injuries pop up during the battle, but anyways yeah, just a normal fight, show me what you can do, and I’ll show you what I can do in return!” She explained, enthusiasm coating her voice while she moved up from leaning upon her spear. However, Mimi was beginning to doubt the woman could really do anything serious that would make her an actual threat, besides from hopping out of electronics, if she even phrased that correctly. What was her power consistent with, what did she need to look out for? Questions and curiosity grabbed her attention harshly, albeit with the sudden realization; wasn’t there a mention she was a hacker on that chat?
…And uh, how did that tie in with the rest? Mimi might’ve been caught staring for too long at infect1on, distracted with all the thoughts and analysis of her sparring partner. “Oh, wait, some rules before we start for real.” Mimi finally piped up, absently swinging n’ spinning her spear around, although not in a way that could risk infect1ons health. Meanwhile, she tried to poke 1nfection in the stomach lightly with her unoccupied hand, proceeding. “If you take serious wounds to the torso area or your head, we have to stop and get it patched up like I’m talking gunshot wounds, stabs, anything that makes you the equivalent of a leaky fuel tank.”
One. “Secondly, we have to start at opposite ends of the parking lot,”
Two.
“and if you want to quit at any time, just say Pumpkin.”
Three.
“Also, can I mention how cool you look? I love your hair!” She added, almost star-stricken at the stunning appearance. “I mean seriously, every Superstar I’ve met lately has no sense in fashion or appearance and just… Well, they look really, really bad, it’s almost horrendous, and some of them are like famous n’ sponsored!” She rambled, just idly moving about in one spot as if she were impatient and excited, at the same time. Mimi had nearly turned away from infect1on when she realized something else that needed to be confirmed.
“Oh, wait wait wait one more thing are you a close-range fan or long range? I’ve been fighting a mixture of both recently so I’m good for either.” She finally, after mountains of dialogue, finished.
She was getting excited.

"The name's Viral...you probably know me more as Infect1on." Viral smiled a tiny bit. She was glad to have finally met Red Star, for...multiple reasons. At the very least one of which was to just meet in her in the first place, regardless of the circumstance.
"I suppose that works...I can work with it at least." Admittedly she had been craving a bit more than just a sparring match, but a fight was a fight regardless. Viral could make do with what she had available. "I don't exactly plan on getting like a leaky fuel tank...also, didn't expect to have a safe word in all this." She giggled, totally fine with it but it was a little bit unexpected.
Viral sighed, smiling a tiny bit when Mimi complimented her hair. At least SOMEONE noticed how good her fashion sense was. A little bit of positivity like that helped every so often admittedly when you change your hair color just about every single day
"I'm a mixture as well. You'll find out fairly quickly that I tend to work with whatever the battlefield presents itself. Whatever you want to do, I can probably work with."
She looked around curiously, taking in the parking lot a bit more now that she was on ground level with Red Star. There wasn't a TON of tech that she could use...none that were close at least. She could maybe mess with a few of the smart cars that were close by, but then again she did have to practice hand to hand combat every so often..can't rely on powers ALL the time. She'd figure something out, there were buildings nearby as well.

“Viral… As in an infection?” She quipped, her expression one of curiosity regarding the rather ironic name choices. More importantly, Mimi had never met someone named Viral before, unless it was a nickname, in which case she had fought a villain with a similar name not that long ago although they themselves were heavily based on toxic spores. That left the question of what exactly Viral’s power was since obviously there was no reliant hint other than the names alone, no type of body malformation, nothing that screamed ‘Look I’m a deadly foe to be wary of, fear me’ just, maybe a normal human in over their head. Concern ate at her, reflecting in her narrowed expression despite Viral’s giggle as the rather adorable girl chose either.
Fine by me, I’ll just use my sword muttered her mind, equipping her weapon swiftly and thoughtfully.
Though the concern was still there. “Are you sure about this?” Mimi asked to validate her opponent’s willingness, her left foot drawing back as she began to move back towards one of the sides of the darkly paved parking lot, sword in tow. “I’d honestly prefer if you didn’t get hurt, you’ve certainly done nothing to deserve it, I dunno.” with a sigh, doing a small twirl until she stood halfway from the center. She’d never dueled in a fair fight, she’s never even done this before, so how was it going turn out, was she wrong for doing so? There were so many questions but little answers.
“I mean, we could get a hot chocolate at the café over there” She gestured behind her, a small modern storefront with little activity. “Or we could just, not fight and socialize like regular human beings, that is if you don’t want to fight that much either and have morality question your every action until this very point in time.” She summarized, mostly being her own public opinion on the matter. Wait, why were they fighting again?

"Yeah, like that actually." Becky smirked, enjoying the fact that her nickname was getting recognition. She could tell that Mimi was thinking things through, although...Becky would be lying if she said she wasn't doing that as well
"Um...I guess..." Becky sighed, thinking for a minute. She had agreed to this fight in rage, after all...perhaps this wasn't the best idea after all. "Or...y'know..maybe we shouldn't do this..." This could be handled a lot better, in all honesty
"Hot chocolate and being social sounds good. Honestly, I'm having second thoughts about doing this fight...let's...let's just do that. Want me to pay?" Becky seemed to relax, being a bit more civil as she walked over to Mimi. She didn't want to hurt her now..what was the point in fighting when your opponent wasn't sure about actually fighting?
