“Aw, but where’s her arm?” Mimi asked the young girl, her gloved hands holding a piece of drawn paper, kneeling towards her. Mimi along with another starter hero was at the mall signing autographs and making themselves known in the district, although admittedly Mimi was having a harder time promoting herself since she wasn’t sponsored, and the fact was with only a healing ability, she couldn’t exactly show-off… Although, her fashion at the least caught people’s attention, namely that of a young girl with a rather interesting ability to draw. In fact, it was certainly enough to brighten her day when she came over to show off her drawing to Mimi, someone who fought without bothering to find a sponsor or any type of reliable support and barely cared about attention.
“I didn’t get to finish it, the paper cut my finger.” Was the small response, her eyes softening on the girl as she felt sympathy for her, but there wasn’t much she could do besides using her ability- Oh, yeah, she could do that. “I’m sorry this mean old paper did that to you, but want to know a secret?” Mimi asked, smiling slightly.
“What is it?”
“I’ve got healing powers. Here, watch this.” Mimi told her with a small excited tone, glancing at the mother who stood near but not directly in-between them for permission, the woman in question nodding encouragingly. “First, raise your finger up” She started, putting the paper down while she kissed the tip of her own finger. Honestly, this was the least painful than the other more efficient option, and she had to make sure that it didn’t hurt her at all, darn the downside of her ability, she thought. After the little girl complied, she came to finish her statement with “Now hold still, this won’t hurt at all” while she proceeded carefully to poke the young girl on the forehead “Boop.” And there, within seconds the small cut closed up on its own, leaving a small drop of blood remaining. “Now here, do you trust me that it won’t hurt?” She asked the little girl, lifting the little girl’s hand to her own.
“yes.”
…You know, it’s sort of funny how they say yes, but when Mimi wiped the blood off the little girl’s finger, Mimi could feel the hand pulling away from her. Safe to say the little girl didn’t seem to trust it wouldn’t hurt more, but Mimi was too quick as it was revealed that the wound had disappeared, leaving a newly closed patch of young skin. Her mother clapped in quiet applause, and the girl, in surprise, looked to her finger to see the wound had disappeared completely. “Are you magic?” She asked in childish disbelief, to which Mimi humored herself and replied: “Of course, all superstars are magic, that’s what makes us so great.” And that was said with pride since heroes were so cool and stuff.
But were they really? Her mind nagged at the question, her expression shifting slightly as she rose up from her kneeling position while she held the paper, once again. The two left almost the minute after some final goodbyes and waves, but as she stared at the paper, something about the drawing bothered her, her eyes searching it for some sort of explanation, but nothing appeared. Maybe it was the fact the drawing was uneven without her left arm, maybe that was the issue. Mimi sighed in frustration, folding it away carefully and placing it in her hidden pocket. There wasn’t much else to focus on now since it was late afternoon and the mall was going to close soon, guards-Or lack thereof besides one sitting on the fountain- getting ready to shoo people out and call it a day.
She’d probably be one of those to follow, glancing at her, heh, sidekick? I don’t know man, the guy came over with some posters and started handing them out without my permission, isn’t that just rude and overall strange? Mimi shrugged, deciding she’d gotten enough attention. With one foot after the other, she started making her way out and away from her original position in the center of the mall, the center a large glass dome attached to the ground, while her hand reached for her phone. Of course, she had to pause for a second to adjust the GPS to home, her left hand on her sword’s handle which was in its sheath.

Ivan was above the glass dome of the mall, everything was set for his operation, he would get his revenge.
He had received reliable information from a Triad informant that Redstar would be here signing autographs, which is common for a Superstar since they need their ego nice and big to survive. Apparently he was the one who was selling posters, which is an odd cover but whatever works. Ivan was waiting for his nemesis to show herself under the dome, since his plan counted on it.
Lo and behold, she stood exactly where Ivan needed. Quickly he scanned the area one more time, counting one guard, and a whole load of civilians. Ivan drew his rifle out of the slot on his back, pulled his bandanna up his face, flattened his beret, made sure his army surplus gear was looking nice and straight and then quickly aimed and took the shot at the guard, the bullet landed into the mall cop's neck, and he stumbles backwards and collapses into the fountain, quickly afterwards Ivan throws his rope down the dome and quickly rappels into the room.
Once on the floor he fires a few shots into the air with his rifle which sends the crowds screaming, all rapidly looking for an exit. Ivan then pops his rifle onto his back and proceeds to grab a small black object with a shiny red button on top of it.
"Listen here Red!" Ivan roared, filled with rage.
"This time, I will kill you, I will avenge my honour, no more underestimating, no more hints!"
"Now I am going to make sure we are alone as well, so I can take as long as I want with my revenge."
On time with when he finished talking, he slams his thumb onto the red button, making a VERY loud ground shaking explosion, the entrances to the mall collapse from explosives Ivan had planted before hand, he then throws the detonator to the ground and pulls two knives from his jacket, and flips them both blade down, his plan was to make his opponent die like the tiger versus the elephant, a death by a thousand cuts, to maximise the pain felt by the Superstar who almost ended his career. He was most certainly using his precog here, ready to take advantage of every counter by jamming in as many attacks with his blades as possible.

Each second that passed bothered Mimi so much, she let out a frustrated sigh for the fact was, her phone was defective in its operation, the app crashing before even reaching the bloody map. She glared at the cracked screen, it’s not her fault she got thrown into the ocean, why wouldn’t it work for her? She had to wait to buy a phone since she was on a budget of all things… Regardless, she tried reloading the app again, stuffing the phone in her hidden pocket to wait for it. Then that gunshot, that gunshot out of nowhere as she turned swiftly toward it, the movement of bodies becoming fast and undisciplined as they ran, nearly trampling Mimi as she fought through it, reaching the edge of the dome, only to discover… Oh god, what happened to him?
Mimi broke into a run, pulling her sword out as she prepared for any unexpected attacks, but she was so heavily focused on helping the downed officer, she dropped her sword when she reached his position, her hand over the gun wound as she quickly transferred her ability to him, his gasps for air soothing, but the blood still being coughed up as the remaining resided in his lungs. She held his hand, but he was slowing passing out as she pulled him out of the fountain, her eyes softening on the man. She didn’t know this person was, but they looked old enough to be someone’s parent, and god, she wouldn’t wish anyone to lose a father, or a mother, or anyone relating to the victim. Meanwhile, the man was a bit heavier than usual, Mimi having trouble as she tried to prevent him from drowning, this guy needed to lay off the donuts, even if he was a cop.
For the record, Redstar didn’t have an ego, since to begin with, she was always too busy fighting monstrosities like the guy who just came down from the ceiling-oh… Oh no.
The former stab wound ached at the sound of his voice relocating a memory deeply hidden in her brain, her eyes widening as she finished pulling the injured, yet completely if not soon to be healed officer, out of the fountain. The waters were stained with his blood, along with staining her gloves and torso. What a monster, what a monstrosity, where were the heroes who protected people like this- Oh. Mimi’s heart sank, realizing she was the only hero in the current vicinity of the mall, along with that starter hero who ran off as soon as the shots when off which, really? Although maybe he was going to find help, maybe he was going to come back with support items, that had to be it right? She just had to beat down the enemy, that’s all.
I’ve done it before, but this time, no second chances.
She turned as he made his little speech while she still kneeled beside the officer, the sight of people escaping raising her spirits slightly, but her eyes were narrowed and focus on her target as she stood up, her already drawn sword changing as she prepared an upward slash toward her opponent, eyes blazing with frozen fury toward her opponent. “I know who you think you are, but the hell do you think you’re-!“ Her monologue, which was short and to the point in all fairness, was rudely cut off as an explosion went off, then another, and one more to add to the collected as she nearly gasped in horror of the smoke and rubble filling the air, covering her eyes for a moment as debris completely engulfed her surroundings, the arena a smoky haze with the occasional beam of sunlight coming through.
“WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS?!” She nearly screamed at him, her yell filling the dome.
But moments later, as silence filled the air, so did the sound of footsteps approaching her position, her goal clear: Protect the guard until help arrives. She uncovered her eyes quickly, preparing an upward slash for-
…
“Agh!“ Her left shoulder had taken a blow, her eyes wide with pain and terror as she began to react harshly, unpredictably sending her sword toward his side in an attempt to deter Red Ivan, the assassin.
Her healing powers was still working on the officer… Shit.

Ivan was not planning for Red to use her power on the officer. In a way, this made Ivan a bit sad for he wasn't able to dish as much pain to Red before she dies, he began to think as he ran towards his opponent. With the blow landing and not healing, Ivan was sure the end for Redstar was going to be very painful and he revelled in this. He sensed the next attack coming, a swing from the side, not thought out or planned, one thrown in pure panic. His plan to get in close, making the sword too long to be useful, in such a close quarter situation and jam his knives into her chest, all the way down the hilt, and then a push to topple her into the fountain, where he can finish her off in the most terrifying way, a drowning.
That was the plan anyway, he was probably going to take some sort of nip from the attack Redstar threw, although it wont be much, and the plan to use his rifle wasn't going to work out really unless some of the smoke in the room clears. In this fight, Ivan would not give up, too much was on the line here. It didn't matter what happened, how much damage he takes, his pride was hurt last time, he is willing to get himself killed to not have it happen again. This time, Redstar was going to have a grievous injury, or she wouldn't leave this mall. Ivan noticed the other Superstar in the mall running with the crowd, which deeply angered Ivan, for he was a Superstar, his job is to protect innocents from men like him, running off like a coward does nothing, but make people hate Superstars. He should be in here fighting him, helping out his Superstar friend! Oh well, he thought. It just means there is more time to torture this soon to be dying star.
The next concern being the officer. If he were to get up and help at a point after Ivan had run out of uses of his ability, it may cause problems, although he is just a mall cop and he definitely doesn't get paid enough for this, and he can always view the Superstar dying! That's always good, just as an intimidation tactic to make a first hand account of the murder of a Superstar, that's great!
Ivan then began to enact his plan, first a dash forward and a double stab attempt with both his knives, if this worked, it would be sure to greatly screw with this metahumans insides due to the serrated edges of his blades. His only hope being that she didn't pass out or die before he was finished with her.

"If I'm going, you're going with me!" She hissed loudly, her voice ringing through the air as she jumped backward to avoid his secondary attack, stumbling over her own feet as she tried her best to dodge his attacks by putting space between them, her back right to the fountain. This sucker wasn't going anywhere, she was gonna stab him so badly he would've wished she'd kill him she thought, piercing eyes of winter fury slamming down upon her opponent, a monstrous creature of human nature, a person with no reason to live this life but to kill his enemies and targets, Mimi herself about to feel the wrath of this cold-blooded excuse for human trash!
Her feet slammed against the floor to get a better grip as she slightly slid, watching him still dashing forward with the few seconds she had, the blood from her shoulder dropping onto the ground with a splat as it signaled his vicinity far too close to her, Mimi letting out a battle cry as she used her last few seconds to slice forward in an attempt to deter him from both her and the victim of his bloody rage. She refused to let someone like this overpower her, a god, a hero, a being with healing powers!
Her blade would quickly slash forward as she recoiled it back, a strong amount of power behind it as she protected her front, her shoulders tense with fear, proving functional with courage, and a threatening posture to join it. "GET OUT..!" She screeched at him, mostly fueled by the pain in her shoulder as her facial expression was a large frown, eyebrows furrowed, and eyes narrowed on her new target: An assassin bent on the taste of her blood, already sampling a sliver of it as it stained her outfit.
If there was anyone watching, please, help! Screamed her unconscious mind, knowing well that with a shoulder wound like this, she'd eventually bleed out, and the fact she knew he could predict her attacks, well, that only made things worse for Mimi.

A smirk plastered Ivans face as he saw his nemesis scramble away from his attack, almost tripping over her feet. The look of pure resolve and determination on Redstar's face pleased Ivan, she was taking the fight seriously, which he respected. Plus the fact that she was unlikely to try and run. On the surge forward Ivan responds to Red's taunt, shouting "I am afraid not, YOU CAN NEVER KILL ME!"
With a flash, Ivan sees Red's attack of desperation, one made quickly to create space between the two warriors. Ivan thought quickly, using his left foot to launch him sideways, into a spin to twirl out of the way of Red's attack, which would leave more than a graze on Ivan's uniform. With his blade still blade down, and his back to Red, he slams his hand backward in order to stun Red and push her further backward, into the fountain, as he does this he roars, "NO ONE CAN!" as a continuation of his taunt from earlier.. Ivan was steady on his feet here, using the momentum from his twirl to continue to turn and spin around, ducking lower to the ground, with his other blade going for a slash across Redstar's tummy, if she manages to dodge or otherwise halt the punch, she would take a nasty wound to the stomach, unless she manages to stop both of these attacks. Of course, this attack is out of range if she is struck by the pommel strike.
Ivan quickly began to wonder how much time he would have, as he saw the other superstar running, he knew they would take a while to clear the rubble, but not if that Superstar had a power to clear it quickly. Either way, Ivan shouldn't focus too much on the outcome currently, it would lead to him becoming cocky, which helped him lose his first fight with this child.

That damn, smirking, ugly excuse for human! Mimi found herself predicted easily, mentally cringing at his taunt as she bit her lip, desperate for a turn in the tables any day now, something, something... She went down memory lane, exploring her options as she remembered he had been cocky back then, giving her hints and tricks, but wait, now he was serious so she couldn't exploit it, her split moment to think over as he twirled forward from the side, the pommel of his blade slamming into her face as she cried out, her hand reaching for her nose as she held it, but even as the blood began to run, the crack healed itself, her healing abilities having returned and cured the officer of his injuries, still unconscious.
Oh yeah, I'm a eternal FLAME baby! FIGHT ME!
...She had congratulated herself too soon, another slash coming lower as Mimi tried to dodge far too late, the fabric tearing as his blade sliced through enough to leave a light laceration. Mimi had stumbled far too back at this point, tripping over the edge of the fountain as she fell in the cold, freezing water, a large splash accompanying her. How embarrassing. She knew now that the officer was no longer his target, it was her, it was her he was after, realizing after beating him, he wanted his revenge. "Ugh.." She whimpered, talking though her nose slightly, rubbing at the base of it as her eyes squinted in pain. She was absolutely drenched in water, her upper body the only thing to be spared from the water's splash.
"Oh for the s-stars sake." She spoke, partially stuttering as she looked down to her sword. "I might've humiliated you, but at least I was kind enough to heal you...!" She yelled, gripping her sword as she prepared to defend herself, looking up and pulling herself away from him until she hit the base of the fountain. "Well, What are you gonna do now then, Huh!? Put me in-front of a firing squad because I hurt your primitive feelings!?" She continued to yell at him as she physically expressed herself with another, smaller splash, mouthing off as she said whatever came to mind, spewing out of her mouth furiously out of fear... She was actually really scared now, loosing her confidence as she sat there in the water, nearly curled up into a ball as she glared at him, waiting for his response as her hands shook.
Her sword was raised to her shoulder, shaking, as she prepared to strike out. How far was he going to go, just to get his revenge? Her eyes narrowed upon him, eyes wide and pupils dilated.
